About The LTL Summit 2025

Inspired by the book Leavers to Leaders, this year summit is dedicated to the branding “Born in The Commonwealth, Made In Britain, Serving The World” for British personnel, service leavers, and veterans from the Commonwealth and Overseas communities. We’ll highlight individuals who have successfully transitioned from military life and continue to make an impact around the world in new roles.

In 2025, the summit features seven categories under the theme ‘Military To…’, showcasing the many paths available after military service. Our goal is to celebrate what’s already been achieved and inspire serving personnel, service leavers, and veterans to see that their journey doesn’t have to end when their military service does—they can reinvent themselves and thrive in new ways.

The afternoon will feature a panel of speakers and discussions focused on ‘Fostering Belonging,’ followed by our flagship event: the LTL Awards. This awards ceremony, which has been recognised in England, Wales, Scotland, and Mauritius, shines a spotlight on military and uniformed personnel, as well as veterans, who have gone above and beyond in their service.

Everyone attending will get to a copy of LEAVERS TO LEADERS and we will also be donating a book to the SCB bookclubs so a child from an underpriviledge background in Fiji, Ghana & St Vincent to read. This is under our theme B.O.S.O - Buy One, Support One. Our aim is not to just develop this generation of leaders but also the next generations.

The Presenter

Richard Wyeth is the MD of Yaketyak and has been a radio presenter for the past 30 years and for 20 years has been waking up the home of the British Army, Aldershot Garrison with the Breakfast Show. The last 9 years have been with BFBS - The Forces Station which has seen him broadcast at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, in Cyprus and The Falklands.
Alongside presenting he has his own Company Yaketyak Productions, which provides Event Radio, Public Address Systems for events, Podcasts, hosting events and providing compères. Work includes running Royal International Air Tattoo Radio Station & MC for the London Pacific Fashion Show.

Martin is a Visiting Professor for Health, Education and Life Sciences at
Birmingham City University and an Honorary Consultant for Health Innovations with the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. In addition to holding the position as
Chief Executive Officer for Medical Devices Technology International Ltd (MDTi), a company that specialises in the commercialization of NHS medical devices innovation.
Martin has spent over 18 years as a leading expert in the field of Medical
Innovation and Structural Healthcare.
Prof Levermore has been published widely in several academic and medical
journals; he holds a Senior Associateship with the Royal Society of Medicine.
Martin Chairs Medilink Midlands the regions’ largest industry body for MedTech companies, and he is an Executive Committee Member of Greater Birmingham Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce.
Prof Levermore is a Member of the British Empire (MBE) for Services to West
Midlands’ Businesses in 2013 and was commissioned as a Deputy Lieutenant
(DL) to Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of the West Midlands in 2018.
